Intelligent Monitoring

Anton/Bauer’s smart software-based monitoring means you don’t need to worry about critical pack parameters.

The battery software continually monitors:

This advanced monitoring ensures that your battery performs optimally during charging, discharging, or idle mode. With this safety net in place, you can focus on capturing those perfect shots without interruptions, knowing your equipment is in peak condition.

Rapid Response

Anton/Bauer hardware-based sampling provides an extra layer of protection, responding swiftly to unforeseen surges that may not be detected by software alone.

Ultimate Safeguarding

Anton/Bauer batteries are equipped with additional and redundant circuitry, ensuring continuous monitoring of voltages.

In rare instances when the first two levels face an unexpected obstacle, this third level jumps into action, offering ultimate protection. By permanently opening a fuse on the PCBA, the battery safeguards itself from potential damage, ensuring your safety is never compromised.

Chargers

Multiple Isolation

In the event of a component failure, our chargers are designed to isolate the affected area from the rest of the charging circuitry.

Anton/Bauer power supplies are completely separate from the charge circuitry, safeguarding the entire operation. With built-in features like fast-acting fuses and short circuit protection, even if a power supply encounters damage, the charger remains resilient.

Communications

Our chargers engage in a sophisticated dialogue with our batteries, ensuring a tailored charging experience.

By communicating with the battery to determine its desired current and voltage, Anton/Bauer chargers create a customized charge profile optimized for both performance and battery longevity.

This synergy between batteries and chargers is paramount for maximizing efficiency and prolonging the life of your equipment. Maintaining an ecosystem of Anton/Bauer batteries and chargers ensures seamless compatibility and peak performance.

Controlled Ramp Up

Once communication is established between the battery and charger, we prioritize safety and precision during the charging process.

Rather than abruptly applying the specified voltage and current, Anton/Bauer employ a gradual ramp-up approach, carefully monitoring the battery’s response at every step.

For instance, if a Dionic XT90 battery requests a charge to 16.1V at 4A, the charger incrementally increases the parameters while constantly evaluating the battery’s condition and temperature.

Through continuous communication and real-time monitoring, Anton/Bauer chargers ensure that vital information is preserved, and your equipment remains safe throughout the charging cycle.

UN Safety Assured

All Anton/Bauer batteries meet the requirements of each test in the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria, Part, sub-section 38.3.

Test T.1 – Altitude Simulation

Simulates air transport under low-pressure conditions.

Test T.2 – Thermal Test

Assesses cell and battery seal integrity and internal electrical conditions and is conducted using rapid and extreme temperature changes.

Test T.3 – Vibrations

Simulates vibration during transport.

Test T.4 – Shock

Assesses the robustness of cells and batteries against cumulative shock.

Test T.5 – External Short Circuit

Simulates an external short circuit.

Test T.6 – Impact / Crush

Simulate mechanical abuse from an impact or crush that may result in an internal short circuit.

Test T.7 – Overcharge

Evaluates the ability or a rechargeable battery or a single cell rechargeable battery to withstand an overcharge condition.

Test T.8 – Forced Discharge

Evaluates the ability of a primary or rechargeable cell to withstand a forced discharge condition.

Standards Matter

Anton/Bauer batteries go through extra levels of safety testing above and beyond other battery brands.
